Accept Now

Watching the stars, man
Sitting all alone
The fire's already gone
Where are you now?

Is it the moon, now
Come on, let me in
I really want to give
My heart to you

When all the reasons gone
You don't need to be alone
Take my hand and see what happens

We might make it all the way
We might not go anywhere
But shall we try?

Last time I saw you
You weren't really there
Pretending you know where
Were you with her?

Why do I cry still
When my life is really good
Thinking of you should
Be far away

When all the reasons gone
You don't need to be alone
Take my hand and see what happens

We might take it all the way
We might not go anywhere
But shall we try?

Time to accept now
You are no longer mine
And you're doing fine
You let me go

Hard to admit but
You are in better hands
Your heart is balanced and
I'm happy too

When all the reasons gone
I am not alone
You took my hand and look what happened

You tried to go my way
But your heart wasn't there
I needed more

A Dance With My Daughter

She came from my body,
From my body she nursed.
I gave her life,
And my life she took.

Took over my bed, my pillow, my sleep
She repairs it with sweet smile,
an innosent look, a hand on my cheek.

It’s a battle of a dance,
She steps on my toe.
I want to confess,
To my deepest wrongs.

This is what I wanted,
What all I wished for
Now I have to let go
Of being all in control.

She feels every movement,
She knows I’m not there,
She steps even harder,
On that toe that hurts.

I really need to go
I’m bleeding, you see.
But she comes first,
SHE needs a good sleep.

Tears coming out,
She can feel what I feel
Her sensitivity towards me,
Can kill and can heal.

I’m holding on just so
she won’t start to cry,

It’s a battle of a dance,
But I really don’t mind.

So she took my life, my pillow, my bed,
And I’m here to give her everything else.
I’m here to learn her dance and she's mine
And one day when she bleeds, I’ll be fine.

Crying laugh, laughing cry,
Sorrow and happiness
She is what I wanted,
So I can’t complain.
This dance has a twirl,
And will have till the end.

One dance she’ll get off my toe,
And she’ll sleep all night.
But till then I’ll keep her close,
Even if it’s tight.

The Point

We went to sleep too early
And we got up too late
We found ourselves just eating
When it was not even eight

We were stuck in the mud in the morning
We were splashed by a wave in the evening
And no one even care that we were missing

The Point
We were at The Point
We were missing
The point

We were chased by pigs for dinner
And ran into a boat
that wasn not in the water
But we found a dirty coat
of someone from the old days
When Hippies were around

And no one saw we were missing
We weren’t on the ground
Of The Point
We were missing
The point
Half of the village is sleeping
The Point

Now what a mission that was
Just can’t put my mind to it
We were dragged to sweet home
By an old McDonald and the Maori
We were put straight into the bathtub
And had fish smell coming out of our ears

But no one even dare to care
That we were not missing
The point
Never go again to The Point
We were missing
The Point

While it wasn’t even eight
We were tucked well in bed
I’ll tale you a journey
Of somebody else…
That wasn’t even living here
When it all happened
But no one else were missing
Till we got there

At The Point
We were missing
The point
No one even care that we were missing
The Point.

I’ll Sense You

You smell like deep lush bush
I didn’t think so but I like it
When you go away
Your smell is still with me
On the pillow and the blanket
You smell like a deep green bush.

You feel like wood in the fire
Hot and smoky skin
You can’t be too far away
As it follows me to my dreams
I’ll never feel alone
The flames filling me in
You feel like red wood in the fire.

You taste like deep smooth sea
Salty and soft on my tongue
I can just dive in
and taste you again anytime
As cold as it might be
You taste like deep blue sea.

So when you are here
I’ll just breath you
And fill my soul
With all the goodness you leave

You sound like a strong mountain
Your deep voice sooth my heart
I can hear you all night
All day if you’ll need me I’ll listen
To your cuddly words in my ear
You sound like a brown mountain.

You look like the shining sun
Smiling timidly fills me up with love
I look and warm my self up
See your vision all around
Even in my day dreams with eyes wide shut
You look like a bright yellow sun

So when you are here
I’ll just breath you
And fill my soul
With all the goodness you give.

I’ll sense you when you are with me
And that will keep me going
When I’m out of energy and you are gone.

I Got Pregnant

I got Pregnant
You got Cancer
Where do we go from here?
I wone the lottory
You've got bankrupt
Am I happy as can be?

I'm at the top of my world
You're at the bottom
Life has it's misterious ways
You might have Cancer again
Just when I found love
There is nothing more to say.

But what if I got Cancer
and you got Pregnant
What then? will I start to prey?

Under the Pahutakawa tree

He brings my tea
He lights a cigarette
The strong man is shading a tear
I know what he's thinking
Under the Pahutakawa tree
.

In front of the sea
He's fighting the wind
Spitting out olive pips
Purring green tea
His thoughts wouldn't drift with the wind
Wouldn't drown in the sea.

Under the pahutakawa tree
I look at him
He's eating a sandwich
He's just been told he might have Cancer
But at the moment he's eating a sandwich
Under the Pahutakawa tree.

Late At Night

I love you late at night
And early in the morning
And inbetween I'm staying up
With passion and wondering
Can I stay the same
Or will I keep changing
Can you stay still
Or will you keep moving
.

I love you late at night
And early in the morning
Am I Stuck in the Cruck Mate
Do I need a kick to get going
To where I was aiming
With my Baby following
.

I love you late at night
And early in the morning
Please don't break my heart
I still need it going
I love you late at night
And early in the morning.

One Day

One day I'll be a drummer,
I'll be a dancer
I'll be whatever that I want to be

A mother, I'll be a sister
I'll be a daughter
I'll be whatever that I want to be

A builder, I'll be a carpenter
I'll be a farmer
I'll be whatever that I want to be

A kisser I'll be a hugger
I'll be nicer
I'll be whatever that I want to beeeeee

And then one day I'll be a filmer
And I'll put it all together
And you'll see her:
You'll see the drummer,
You'll see the mother,
You'll see the farmer
And you'll see that all I want
to be is be.

Yes one day maybe Sundey
Maybe Monday
It won't be far away that i'll just be
So it might as well be today

A Song of Big Love

Driving down the hill
Thinking what I feel
When you grow up
you'll be out of touch
And you'll be driving too

Will you be happy
Will you be free
Will you do what you want to do
Will you come to see me
When I am old
Will you keep me laughing too.

May everything you see
And everything you hear
And everything you feel
Will be just a Big Love

May everything you taste
And everything touch
And everything you try
Will be just a Big Love.

Driving you in the back of my car
I hear you making sounds
You are full of life
You are full of laugh
You are creative and so bright

I'm so lucky to have you now
And my days are never dull
One day you'll grow up
you'll be on your way
to make you life delight.

May everything you see
And everything you hear
And everything you feel
Will be just a Big Love

May everything you taste
And everything touch
And everything you try
Will be just a Big Love.

Frequently impatiently
You want it here and now!
Resistently reluctantly
To wait for it to come...

May everything you see...

I love you so
That's for sure
I feel it in my bones
And I fear not
Of my on self
When I know you're well and safe

I'd like to tell you
I'd like to teach you
But you know it anyway
You have wisdom
You have courage
So do it your own way.

May everything you see
And everything you hear
And everything you feel
Will be just a Big Love

May everything you taste
And everything touch
And everything you try
Will be just a Big Love.

How Unique You Are

You don't like coriander in your porridge,
That's how unique you are,
You don't take much milk
But a little bit of cream is NICE...

You don't like coriander in your porridge,
I’ll say it one more time,
You don't have a fridge, you are cool enough,
But you like to take a good look in mine.

NOOOOOO Turkish coffee, thanks,
I'll plunge it for you next.

No noisy wash-machine or chain-saw,
The bush will keep it's still and quiet.
Just plug your iMac, iPad, iPod,
Keyboard, Mics, Guitars and Drum set… (Cello and Trombone)

Nooooooo generator please,
The birds would like some peace.

You don't like coriander in your porridge,
I think I’ve said that enough.
You improvise your bedtime stories,
Will you improvise for me tonight?
